Chapter 7, Who Am I Really
I frowned. I do not trust Liu Qin unconditionally; I am merely following my instincts.
But did he warn me about my qualifications? Who exactly is he to me?
But I can sense that Xiao Ge and Lin Qiuxiao have been watching me from the courtyard, seeing me off until I disappear
Liu Qin did not drink it all in one gulp, but merely took a gentle sip to moisten her lips. Her amber-like eyes shimmered with a faint light, resembling the intoxicating hues of wine.
Suddenly, Lin Qiuxiao stepped forward and embraced me, but her embrace was much more fervent than the one I had with Xiao Ge
He was not concerned about the dishes, only taking a small silver goblet, slowly pouring the wine, looking at me with a half-smile, drinking one cup after another
I can only go with him
Liu Qin's gaze was peculiar; he scrutinized me inquisitively and then smiled: "Qing Tian Hou said that after you had a fever at the age of ten, you only remembered my name and forgot everything else. It turns out to be true. It's been seven years, and you still haven't remembered?"
I said calmly: "I think you will tell me."
Lin Qiuxiao walked over slowly and asked, "Is it impossible not to leave?"
"Su Ying, do not leave. I can talk to Qingtian Hou and persuade him to let you stay." The warm breath from Lin Qiuxiao brushed against my neck, tickling like a child's touch, and his voice grew thicker with choked breaths: "Just because this person knows some things about your past, you unconditionally trust him and choose to follow him?"
His tone carried a warning and displeasure, naturally due to Lin Qiuxiao's words
Liu Qin pushed the wine glass in front of me and lazily said, "Pour me some wine."
I sat quietly to one side, yet a trace of shame and anger gradually welled up within me
I hesitated for a moment, shifted closer to him, and filled his cup with wine from that kettle.
"Why don't you ask me where I will take you?" Liu Qin suddenly asked
The ten years of emptiness have weighed heavily on my heart like a large stone, growing increasingly burdensome with each passing day. And Liu Qin may be the only person capable of lifting this heavy stone from my heart
Liu Qin is clearly not an ordinary person. His carriage is spacious and comfortable, and it even conceals more than ten types of fine wine in its hidden compartments
But I could not voice this anomaly, so I turned my head to one side, gazing at the intricately painted willow branches swaying against the interior wall of the carriage, the azure waters flowing gently, pretending not to notice his unusual gaze, and indifferently caressing the Flowing Soul Sword
I lowered my gaze, released the little song, and did not respond
I stared at him and said, "Moreover, I am waiting for you to tell me, who exactly am I?"
Because I noticed that his gaze towards me began somewhat cold, yet gradually became fervent, so fervent that it resembled not the look of one man at another, but rather as if he were regarding me as some exquisite beauty or a rare treasure.
Yet I still pushed away Lin Qiuxiao's embrace, hung the Liu Po sword at my waist, took my bundle, and left with Liu Qin without looking back
I shook my head. There had been some vague impressions in my dreams, but when I woke up, drenched in sweat and heavy with my clothes, I could not remember anything.
Half an hour later, I had arrived at Liu Qin's carriage, embarking on a journey whose destination was unknown.
"Ying'er," Liu Qin, leaning against the door with a cold gaze, suddenly said, "It is time to leave"
